The Times 100 Case Studies
A multi media resource which provides a platform for a number of organisations to dissect real business problems and give future customers and potential employees an insight into business. This provides realistic, authentic and up-to-date materials linked to the Business Studies curricula.

Key Skills in Context

Stay Safe on the Farm< br> An activity booklet plus an interactive web site aimed at promoting safety on the farm available in both English and Welsh. Commissioned by the Health and Safety Executive it provides information in an interesting and stimulating way and is designed to teach basic rules in a fun manner.

Zap!

Nestlé at Work
A resource which introduces a range of real life scenarios that encourage students to develop the same level of understanding and quality of thought used by decision makers in business themselves.

Water Counts

This reinforces a programme of activities for cross-curricular problem solving in support of the national numeracy strategy.

The programme includes pupil worksheets with teachers' notes and information, "Water Counts at Home" - a parents' booklet with handy hints on helping your child's numeracy at home plus an interactive website.

Weather Machine
A pack designed to provide primary school teachers with a wealth of ideas for classroom based activities. The activities encourage children to examine aspects of their own lives to see how our climate influences our daily routine. A board game based on a map of Europe reinforces the messages in a lively and interesting way whilst providing a means to extend some of the activities further.

Making Steel
This full colour booklet gives a well-illustrated account of the preparation of raw materials, the production of iron in the blast furnace and steel production by the basic oxygen (BOS) and electric arc furnace routes.

Secondary refining processes are also explained. Brief reference is made to ingot casting and a more detailed description is given of the more widely used continuous casting process.
